Ross Mason

Ross Mason is an entrepreneur, healthcare investor, public-policy leader, and venture philanthropist with more than two decades of experience building partnerships across business, government, academia, healthcare, and philanthropy. He founded HINRI, a 501(c)(3) venture philanthropy, and has advised healthcare companies and venture funds on commercialization, capital formation, strategic partnerships, and growth.

Mason’s investment experience spans early-stage healthcare, medical technology, digital health, and venture-fund strategy. He advised multiple healthcare venture funds on capital formation, including TenVC, Elementum, InCube Labs Venture Fund, Beneventure Partners, Eventide Healthcare Ventures, and Volkswagen’s ICW Venture Fund. Earlier, he worked with Volkswagen’s innovation campus and venture fund, supporting startup strategy, fundraising, capital structure, customer acquisition, and M&A.

In healthcare commercialization, Mason has worked with entrepreneurs, health systems, universities, and government agencies including NIH, DARPA, and FDA. He co-founded The Aurora Forge, a venture-building platform working with leading U.S. health systems, and has advised early-stage healthcare companies on financing, partnerships, market access, and strategic transactions.

Appointed to the Georgia Department of Community Health Board in 2005, Mason served nine years, including five as chairman. The department oversaw an $11.2 billion annual budget and 660,000 covered lives at the time. His broader board and advisory service has included Augusta University, Praxis Spinal Cord Institute, Emory Healthcare, the Carter Center, Georgia Tech organizations, and other healthcare, education, and civic institutions.

For Purim Capital Fund I, Mason brings experience at the intersection of venture investing, healthcare innovation, public policy, philanthropy, and strategic relationship-building. His background includes evaluating early-stage opportunities, helping organizations raise capital, developing public-private collaborations, and supporting the commercialization of technologies intended to improve health outcomes and create scalable impact.

Ross has a MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech.
