We prefer the term venture studio, as we often see deals before PE and VC firms and get hands-on. Our target client is either in their Seed round or Series A. We will not engage a potential client unless we know we can add significant value on several fronts, both strategically and financially.
Each engagement is customized and unique to individual client needs. Most engagements are 6-12 months in duration but can go longer or transition into a board or advisory position. If we bring capital, we typically insist on staying engaged in some form to ensure a return on investment, good stewardship, and to help where possible.
The name Purim dates back to the 6th century BC during the reign of King Ahasuerus with the historical account located in the Book of Esther. Esther found herself in a difficult spot. She had information that if not acted upon would have resulted in the annihilation of her people. Esther chose to risk her own life by presenting her case to the king.
